Goods station On 20 September, the Second Hand event filled the entire event hall with energy, joy and the exhilaration of discovery. The event attracted a record crowd, with around 1800 visitors in four hours. This proved once again that Tampere's second hand culture is alive and well!
The historic Tavara station was full of quality second-hand treasures, vintage finds, design, style and inspiring circular economy operators. The day was spent browsing, listening to live DJs and indulging in café delicacies - and most of all enjoying the good mood, which has become a trademark of Second Hand.
The event brought together private flea market sellers, businesses, associations and visitors of all ages. An interesting interview with Outi Pyy was heard on stage, and workshops by Tahra and Huomentamuovi provided an opportunity to learn and be inspired about repair and maintenance.
This was already eighth Goods station Second Hand -but for the first time it was organised by Second Hand Tampere ry. Tavara station was a partner of the event. The cooperation brings even more community, responsibility and Tampere's circular economy spirit to the event.
A warm thank you to all the vendors, visitors, volunteers and partners - thanks to you, the day was full of joy, inspiration and a celebration of sustainable living!
