The tenth hugely popular Tavara-asema Second Hand is back again!

Tavara-asema Second Hand is a free-access event created for the recycling of quality second-hand treasures. Enjoy a flea market experience in the historic setting of Tavara-asema. The event features flea market stalls from private individuals, sales and exhibition stands from companies, and programmes such as stage talks and workshops. Café services and lively music complete the pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. 

The flea market spots will be available for purchase after the summer, and this will be communicated separately.

Tavara-asema Second Hand is a free event held in Tampere that focuses on high-quality second-hand goods and responsible consumption. The event has attracted around 1200–1800 visitors. The first event was held in April 2023, and its popularity has grown year on year.

The selection of business operators is underway, and the participating operators and event programme will be announced closer to the date.

Do you want to be a car boot seller?

Does your wardrobe need a clear out? Jumble sale spots will be available after the summer. To the ticket. 

Join the event as a flea market seller and be part of one of the city's largest second-hand events. 

▪️ The sale of flea market pitches for private individuals opens after the summer ▪️ Flea market spot prices start from €29.50 + service fee.
The flea market spot is 1.5 x 1.5 metres. It does not include a table or other furniture. 

However, you can bring your own clothes rack, blanket or table, for example, to display your goods. The flea market stalls are located in the basement of Tavara-asema. Spaces are limited.

The Tavara-asema Second Hand event invites you to sell quality and up-to-date clothing and home goods. These include, for example, old quality tableware, vintage treasures, and designer jeans that you no longer have a use for.

 

What kind of products can I sell at an event?

The Tavara-asema Second Hand event invites you to sell quality and up-to-date clothing and homeware items. These include old quality dishes, vintage treasures, and branded jeans that you no longer have use for. 

We hope the items will still have a lot of life left in them, so please only bring in items that are in good condition and clean.

The sale of new goods is prohibited. Only private individuals can attend the event as flea market sellers. 

Flea market seller's checklist

✅ At the flea market, you can sell at the event:
  • Good condition adult clothing and accessories
  • Homeware items such as decorative objects and tableware
  • Hobby supplies such as records, books, small quantities of current hobby equipment such as camping supplies
  • Small quantities of handicrafts, art and similar products
Please do not sell at the event:
  • New goods (not for resale)
  • Children's clothing or toys
  • Only crafts (individual crafts are allowed in addition to other sales)
  • Broken and unusable items/clothing
  • Furniture or electronics (individual small furniture items and electronics such as a working vinyl record player are permitted in conjunction with other sales)

Sales of stands for businesses are now open. We are looking for operators whose activities align with the event’s values and theme.

At the event, the upstairs offering at the Goods Warehouse will focus on adult fashion, home and lifestyle, as well as hobbies and maintenance activities, while the downstairs spaces will concentrate on home products and other lifestyle services, from bicycle repairs to cosmetics and exhibitor stands.

Tavara-asema Second Hand events are organised by Second Hand Tampere ry in collaboration with Tavara-asema.

 

Where is Tavara-asema Second Hand held?

The event will be held at Tavara-asema in the centre of Tampere, right next to the train station.

The location makes it easy to get to the event whether you are arriving on foot, by bike, using public transport, or travelling from further afield.

Tavara-asema Second Hand is a second-hand event held in Tampere that brings together flea market sales, responsible consumption, vintage finds, circular economy operators, and inspiring programming under one roof.

The event will be held at the historic Train Station Warehouse, and will feature flea market stalls from individuals as well as second-hand, vintage, and circular economy businesses.

The aim of the event is to promote high-quality recycling and the new life of goods.

No. Tavara-asema Second Hand is an open and free event for everyone.

Spaces are limited and will be sold in advance.

Second Hand Tavara-asema is a free-admission event created for the recycling of high-quality second-hand treasures. In the historical milieu of Tavara-asema you can enjoy the atmosphere to the beat of a live DJ and enjoy café products while browsing. 

The event includes private flea market sales, sales and presentation points by companies, and other programmes such as stage speeches and workshops.

Flea market stalls will go on sale at the end of August at tiketti.fi.

The flea market space measures 1.5 x 1.5 metres and does not include a table. However, you may bring your own clothes rack, blanket or table to display your products.
