Night of Events Repair Pop Up – fix, save, and learn!
Night of Events Thursday 6.8. at 5–8 PM in Tampere city centre "Open repairs for five! The barrier to fixing things couldn't be lower, as professionals will be on the street advising Tampere residents!"
Second Hand Tampere ry invites you to join the Repair Pop-Up for the Night of the Events. No registration or participation fee – come when it suits you between 5pm and 8pm. All workshops are outside on the street and operate on a drop-in basis.

👞 Leather goods repair workshop
Give shoes, bags, and other small leather goods a new lease of life. You'll receive care instructions and can carry out minor repairs with guidance from expert Anne Korkala.
💍 Repair shop - making old new
Bring your broken jewellery and turn it into new, personal pieces together with Leena Aalto. Materials are also available from Vintage Garden and Helga Neid.
🧶 Autumn knitwear maintenance workshop
Prepare your favourite knitwear for autumn! Tiina Rikala helps with removing bobbles, tidying up small holes and steaming knitwear.

✨ Jewellery Care Workshop
Elina Balukoff does small jewellery maintenance and repairs. Maintenance, for example:
Jewellery cleaning
Tightening and replacing intermediate tyres
Changing hooks and jump rings
🧶 Clothing repair and fabric patch workshop
Juulia Heinämäki helps with minor clothing repairs – bring in a shirt that needs a button or trousers that need patching.
At the same time, a fabric badge sewing workshop will be held in the spirit of the Great Finnish Rock Week.
You can sew old recycled patches onto your clothing, buy new patches on-site, or bring your own patches to be sewn on.
Why come?
Repairing prolongs the lifespan of items, saves money, and teaches new skills. Come for a moment or stay longer – all workshops are open all evening.

The event is organised by Second Hand Tampere ry in collaboration with Korkala Agency, Vintage Garden, Helga Neid, Faktoria, and HAY Second Hand. The event is part of the Repair City 2026 initiative, which is being implemented with funding from the Tampere City participatory budget Mansen Massit.
