The association's board and members gathered for the spring meeting in Nekala on Ascension Day, May 14th.

The full members voted on a few rule changes aimed at aligning and clarifying the direction of the association's activities.

Membership and member benefits

• The membership grew significantly: The crowdfunding campaign for a new Second Hand Tampere map, held in the spring, notably increased the number of supporting members, as individuals stepped forward to back the creation of the new print map.
• Member benefits have been developed and created: Regular newsletters and updates for members, a dedicated WhatsApp group for members to facilitate networking and mutual support, as well as VIP shopping mornings organised by Nextiili ry, offering a 10% discount to association members.
  • The association aims to always primarily highlight its member companies in current events, networks, and its operations with various stakeholders.
  • The association's revamped website, launched for autumn, now includes a member listing with links to support the visibility of member companies.

  • On the occasion of the autumn meeting, supervisor Sari Puutio gave a presentation on finding one's own story, strengthening oneself, and prioritisation.
• The websites were updated. Development and modification work was carried out over the year, and the new websites were launched in September 2025.

Working groups

Working groups act as the engine of the association. Members can participate in working groups according to their own interests and expertise. Some working groups are ongoing, while others are project-specific.

Visibility and impact

• In 2025, the association achieved nearly half a million views on the association's unpaid IG posts, and the number of followers doubled over the year. For example, in September, the Instagram profile had over 104,000 views.
• Collaboration with Visit Tampere on the topic of second-hand tourism. This promoted visibility, especially on the city's social media channels. For example, influencers invited by Visit Tampere have visited local second-hand shops. Second Hand Tampere map with.

Other things

A discussion was opened with the members regarding several different aspects of the association's future, and the participants' views were heard:

• Second Hand Department Store for Tampere
• Mansen massit workshops in 2026

• YEL changes
• The EU Green Transition Consumer Protection Directive and the Right to Repair Directive
• Future of Second Hand Tampere map
• The new board will be elected at the Autumn Meeting in November 2026. Those interested in board activities are encouraged to participate in the association's activities and working groups throughout the year. More information about the board application process will be available in the autumn.

Additionally, as always, we noted that there would be more things, areas for development, and discussions than time. We therefore encourage all members and those interested in membership to engage in active communication and informal get-togethers outside of official meetings!
